With spring just around the corner, our minds now turn to doing those jobs on the outside of our home.
Up and down the country, people will be flocking to the DIY centres, one of those jobs will be the repainting of the exterior windows.
But what do you do when you realise you have got paint, gloss normally, on the glass, well the first thing not to do is to wipe it clean! This will tend to smear the glass, and actually make it harder to clean or remove the paint residue.
Your best option is to let it dry, then carefully scrape the residue off, with a window scraper, see the link below
If your not to sure, take a look at the following video
You could also try removing the paint with non abrasive methods, using vinegar and baking soda mixed together, will help break down the paint. Another option would be to use acetone, which is a chemical often found in nail polish remover and does not harm non-tinted glass. You could put a few drops of nail polish remover onto a cloth and rub down the window until the paint is gone.
And remember, to use the correct equipment, especially ladders. As per HSE rules:
Failing all this, you could get a professional window cleaning company, such has ourselves, www.windowcleaningsolutions.co.uk, to provide you with a free quotation
